Summer Colors for Just Magnolia

It's officially summer! But I'm glad that the weather has mellowed down a bit from last week. Hopefully this week we'll keep it all in the 80's.

So it's Friday once again and another challenge at Just Magnolia and Hanglar & Stamplar! Out theme for this week is
It was hard for me to pick out summer color because there are lots to choose from. So what I did was base it on the DP or paper pad I was going to use for the project. And from there, I choose the colors I like.
My card for you today is features Key largo Tilda and I think she is one of my favorites from the Summer memories Collection.  I'll tell you why in a minute :)
So here's my card!

I colored her with Distress Ink Reinkers. Paper pad is from MLYB Splash! I will fill in the details of the ink I used a little bit later.

This is why Key Largo Tilda is my fave! LOL

Doctor Edwin - Time Heals

Happy Monday everyone!  My card today features Doctor Edwin.
When this stamp was released I just knew I had to get it.
I colored him with Distress Ink Reinkers on Arches Hot Press watercolor paper.
The sentiments I used are from Tim Holtz.  The letters in the word "heals" are from different words from the Addage Ticket and the "Time" is from Idea-ology Metal word tags.
The DP is from Basic Grey and all the other embellishments are from my stash.
~*~*~*~*~*~
Yup! Time heals! In my case, 3 months of healing went fast! I mentioned before, that I went thru some oral surgery and 3-4 months was my time frame for healing before proceeding to the next phase. Well, it's time for me to move on to the next phase and my surgery is on Wednesday, June 20! I hope everything will go smoothly! Wish me luck!

A closer look at Doctor Edwin.

Lazy Days of Summer at Tilda's Town

 Happy Friday  to all!
Today at Tilda's Town Challenges we have a new challenge for you.  The theme for this week is

Lazy Days of Summer
Summer is here! And Edwin is here to wish you the best this summer.
For my card today, I have Edwin in Miami from the Summer Memories Collection. I also used the beach background from Lazy Summer, a sand castle and seashell to create this summer scene.
I colored the image over a month ago with Distress Ink Reinkers. The DP is from Queen & Co and I really like the colors: bright green, blues, orange and yellow. I have used the other coordinating DP with my other summer themed projects because I kinda liked their summer color combo.

Dreams Do Come True

I have been holding this out over the weekend...some exciting news that I kept to myself until today.
I am still pinching myself to make sure that it IS true. The smile I had my face the moment I got the news, is still visible and apparently hurting my cheeks. LOL!

I can not describe how I feel. It's a mixture of excitement and happiness in all different levels.
My journey in the world of crafts started September 2011 and I have loved every step of it.

Now, I am so honored to be part of a International Design Team
who has inspired us all with their talent!

My heartfelt THANKS to

MAGNOLIA SWEDEN FAMILY

for making me part of the design team and letting me share my ideas.

To my friends and followers, your words of encouragement and your lovely comments has inspired me so much and for that, I thank you.

Being part of the Magnolia Sweden Family is a dream come true!!!

All That Scraps June Release Review -Mermaid Lucy

Hi. I'm here today for All That Scraps June Release Review.  My card showcases an image from CC Designs called Mermaid Lucy. I colored her with Distress Ink Reinkers/Markers and I used Spica pens to add shimmer to her tail.  The DP used is from Queen & Co. The sentiment is from the Beach Logo set also from the June Release.

I glued in some seashells and sand and for the corals I used Martha Stewart branch paper punch.  I used the same technique from my Seahorse Card.

Closer look at Mermaid Lucy.

The inside of the card.
One last look at Mermaid Lucy!
